What we do
WeeklyTrader.io is a real-time market mover information site for US equities. Every 15 minutes during NYSE trading hours, we refresh the top gainers, top losers, and most unusual-volume stocks across the S&P 500, NASDAQ 100, and broader US market. Each ticker page aggregates price action, volume context, and the news catalysts driving the move.
Data sources
- Finnhub — primary source for real-time quotes, company news, and market headlines
- Alpha Vantage — fallback source for intraday quotes and historical data
All market data is delivered with a ~15-minute delay in accordance with free-tier API limits. WeeklyTrader.io is not a brokerage and does not provide tick-by-tick or Level 2 data.
Update frequency
- Mover lists (gainers, losers, volume): every 15 minutes during market hours
- Quote detail pages: every 5 minutes
- Market news feed: every 5 minutes
Editorial independence
We do not accept paid placements on ticker pages or mover lists. Ranking is algorithmic based on percentage price change and volume vs. average. Display ads are clearly labeled and separate from editorial content.
